Well, we didn’t get the backyard open this year, first due to landscaping issues, then the heat, and finally because most of our staff went back to school!
We will be closed every Monday evening in August for town board meetings, as well as the weekend of August 28, 29, 30, and 31 since our head cook is out of town until September.
We will reopen September 6. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
We will, however, be open for lunch on Mondays from 11:30am-1:00 pm.
Please join us this Friday, August 21, for Art in the Backyard in conjunction with Painted Cowgirl Studio. We will have the bar open and you can sip and enjoy live music by Michael Canzona while you peruse works from local artists.
As always, dinner reservations are recommended but not required. Please call (970) 570-2088 to reserve a table.
Since we are a small restaurant, reservations are required for parties of 6 or more.

the southern hotel is
closed for the season.
We’re happy to bring you a new alfresco dining venue in Dolores.
A tranquil spot to dine and relax with friends where you can enjoy our full indoor menu as well as options reserved solely for the Backyard.
Leashed dogs are welcome as are well-behaved children.
A restroom is available through the gate at the back of the yard.
Operating hours are 4:30pm to 8:00pm, Friday through Monday, through the end of September.
